With over 20 years of experience in the care sector and over six years as a manager, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients. My current focus is on elderly residential and dementia care, where I am committed to enhancing the quality of life for those we support.
I hold a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification and have completed my Dementia Care Mapping certification at Stirling University, allowing me to bring specialised knowledge and best practices to my role. At Hollymount Dementia Care Centre, I take great pride in being part of a team that feels like family, where we foster an inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment for both staff and service users.
I am deeply passionate about continuous professional development and ensuring that our staff have the essential knowledge and skills to provide outstanding care. I believe in the power of reflective practice, constantly evaluating and refining my approach to improve both my own expertise and the guidance I provide to my team. While self-assessment can be challenging, I embrace it as a vital tool for growth, helping me serve as a strong mentor for others.
Outside of work, my family and my son are incredibly important to me, and I bring that same level of care, dedication, and compassion to my role. I am fully committed to developing and enhancing our services at Hollymount Dementia Care Centre, ensuring we continue to provide the highest standard of care for those who rely on us.
